Arsenal vs Barcelona: as both clubs get Raheem Sterling to boost a Man City name their price for January… has been handed a boost in their pursuit of Raheem Sterling, with Manchester City reportedly open to selling the England ace for just £45million.
Sterling, who joined Manchester City in 2015 back in a £50m transfer from Liverpool and has been a hit in Manchester.
No doubt, he has scored 116 goals in 307 appearances but has found himself out of favor under Pep Guardiola this year following the record-breaking £100m arrival of Jack Grealish.
Sterling’s lack of minutes at City has put a whole host of clubs on red alert as the 26-year-old ponders his future, with Arsenal and Barcelona both keeping stock of the situation.
A new report from The Metro has outlined that City would sanction a departure for Sterling should they recoup the majority of the £50m that they paid for him over six years ago.
Even though that’s no small sum, it’s still a fee that isn’t to be balked at for a player of Sterling’s class and experience.
Last Month, Sterling open up that he would be open to a transfer away from Manchester City after starting just three Premier League, PL, games this term and didn’t rule out a switch abroad.
The price City fix for the transfer of Sterling deal is at a high cost, it appears that clubs remain hopeful that Raheem Sterling will choose to remain at the Etihad.
