Barcelona offers Chelsea two players for an exchange with Marcos Alonso and Casar Azpilicueta

Chelsea’s new owners took a trip to Spain yesterday in order to have dinner with a number of officials from Barcelona. Todd Boehly and co are taking a real hands-on approach to their ownership, and they are being wise and smart to go around meeting key figures in football and forming some key relationships.

There was probably quite a bit to discuss during the meeting last night, and it would have been perfect to be a fly on the wall in that restaurant last night.

The Daily Mail believe they have info on one big topic of the night, that is Barcelona’s attempts to sign both Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso this summer.

Boehly left there admitting that a deal of some sort was ‘agreed’, but it’s unclear what. The Mail says that Barcelona have offered Sergino Dest and Memphis Depay in return for Alonso and Azpilicueta, rather than any money.

We’ll see if anything transpires here on this exchange if Chelsea will agreed with terms.
