BREAKING: Nigerian Footballer Confirmed Dead

Enyimba and Sunshine Stars of the Nigeria Professional Football League have both paid tribute to former striker Chinedu Udechukwu.

After a brief illness, Udechukwu died in Jos.

The forward spent the 2018/19 season with Enyimba, where he was a member of the squad that won the club’s eighth title.

Sunshine Stars also expressed their shock at Udechukwu’s death on social media.

“We are in mourning following the death of our former player, Chinedu Udechukwu, who reportedly collapsed in Jos on Wednesday.

The confident striker joined us in mid-2019/20 and stayed with us for the majority of the 2020/21 season before joining Nasarawa Utd.

At this time, our thoughts are with the late player’s family and associates. We pray that God gives them the strength to bear this irreparable loss. Edu, get some rest!
