Chelsea nearing an agreement with a promising young striker

Chelsea is reportedly in advanced negotiations with Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko. As the January transfer window approaches, teams begin to weigh their options in preparation for potential moves for players, and that is exactly what is happening.

Todd Boehly has not been shy in bringing in some of the best young talent for the Blues, with Omari Hutchinson, Carney Chukuemeka, and Cesare Casadei being just three of the many new players who arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer.

Moukoko, on the other hand, is a completely different prospect, having already made a name for himself in the Bundesliga, scoring 11 goals in 59 games for Die Borussen since making his senior debut in December 2020.

The Cameroonian-born forward has also made two appearances for the German national team, being called up for their World Cup campaign by Hansi Flick and becoming the youngest German player at the World Cup at the age of 18 years and three days.

The Moukoko speculation stems from Armando Broja’s suspected ACL injury sustained in the Blues’ pre-season friendly against Aston Villa yesterday, which Graham Potter’s team lost 1-0.
