Eden Hazard’s Chelsea pipedream forced Roman Abramovich to intervene

Eden Hazard’s Chelsea pipedream forced Roman Abramovich to intervene… Eden Hazard finally joining Chelsea seems like a rumor that refuses to go away. No doubt, the return of the Belgian winger but there is no denying that he is not the same player that left Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2019.

The 30-year-old has endured a torrid time at the Bernabeu mostly hampered by injuries, but when he has got himself fit, he hasn’t shown that same quality that had his peers calling him the best player in the world outside of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi only a few years back. To make matters worse for Hazard, the Blues have fared pretty well since his departure.

According to him, Thomas Tuchel secured the Champions League during his first six months in charge and has kicked on from there as they now challenge for the Premier League in his first full season. A move for Hazard doesn’t make much sense from a football perspective and the speculation seems centered around the nostalgia that would come with his potential return because of how much success he brought to the club. But it’s still lingering as the January transfer window has now opened. And it seems that Roman Abramovich is the driving force behind the link.

El Nacional claims the Russian billionaire is leading the pursuit of Hazard as he wants to reunite with the former Lille man. The businessman’s plea seems to have convinced Hazard to leave Madrid with his stance completely changing since the start of the current campaign.

Havertz’s doubt over Chelsea,s Champions League fixture with Juventus revealed

During the summer, Hazard was adamant he was going to fight for his place under Carlo Ancelotti, and going back to England was “out of the question. But the latest reports suggest he is now ‘open’ to a return to Chelsea.

He said on May 26:

“I still have a three-year contract with Real Madrid, so going back to England is out of the question. Everyone knows that my first two years were not good, so first I want to prove myself at Real Madrid. I will do everything to do that.

“I certainly don’t see myself leaving Madrid, given the contract situation.

“I know myself and I know when I’m in shape. If that’s the case, I can give it my all for Real next season. That’s my plan.”

As it stands now, Hazard is looking forward to working with his new boss Ancelotti who joined the club after leaving Everton.

He said at Euro 2020:

“Everyone at Real Madrid knows what Ancelotti has brought to the club.

“He won the Champions League with this group and he knows a lot of the players.

“We know that he is a coach with a lot of experience. He knows the city and the fans. I think we can do great things together.

“I don’t know him personally, but from what I’ve heard of him he’s a very nice person who just wants to win, and that’s what we all want.

Thomas Tuchel warned Roman Abramovich will

“Certainly not be happy” with Chelsea boss.
“We’ll have the chance to work together. It’s good news for me.”

Hazard’s decision is totally real as her jump at the chance to join Chelsea, as he feels it’s a place where could rekindle that magic.
