FIFA WC: Chelsea squad spotted training at night as Mendy joined later

Chelsea FC are currently heading to the United Arab Emirates for their upcoming Club World Cup semi-finals on Wednesday. The Blues is set to kick off from the semi-finals of the competition because they are the Champions of Europe.

The Blues was able to advance to the English FA Cup fifth round after beating Plymouth Argyle 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. Goals from Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso gave Chelsea the power to move ahead in the competition.

Chelsea or Al-Hilal will face Palmeiras or Al-Ahly in the finals depending on the winners. Chelsea goalkeeper Eduardo Mendy will join up with the squad later this week after he was named the best goalkeeper in the Africa Cup of Nations. The Senegalese will take a day or a two-day break before he travels to Abu Dhabi.
