Manchester United defender suffered a calf injury against Aston Villa before the international break and is expected to be out for a long time.
Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has assured fans that he will “be back on the pitch soon” as he recovers from a calf injury suffered at Aston Villa before the international break.
The 28-year-old missed England’s qualifying set for the 2022 World Cup in October, having been excluded from the clashes after he was injured on September 25.
He limped off the field with a calf injury, and it was soon revealed that he would miss “a few weeks” of action.
Maguire has been afforded the international break to step up his recovery, and while his return to the pitch remains a little way off, he is in high spirits over his progress.

Speaking about the knock, the England international admitted he has yet to train with his teammates, but will be ‘back soon.
“I still haven’t trained yet with the squad, but I am getting better, I am progressing as I should be. It is obviously a frustrating injury for me to get, but I am progressing and I will be back on the pitch soon.”
Man Utd travel to Leicester City on Saturday, but they’ll have to do so without their captain, who won’t be able to make a mark against his former club.
He is expected to also miss the Champions League tie with Atalanta, Premier League games against Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester City.
The Manchester derby is followed by another international break, and all eyes will be on Maguire, and when he is expected to return. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is already faced with the dilemma of naming an impromptu back four for the trip to Leicester after Maguire’s teammate Raphael Varane also returned to Carrington with an injury.
The Frenchman suffered a groin injury while in the Nations League and had to be substituted during the first half of France’s 2-1 victory over Spain in the final.
