NGA vs GBU: Chukwueze Out, Musa In, Ejuke In, Strongest lineup against Guinea Bissau
Nigeria will be in action against Guinea Bissau at the Roumde Adjia stadium in Cameroon on Wednesday and as such, a lot of actions will be displayed, as both teams set to slug it out to qualify to the next stage of the tournament.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria played against Guinea Bissau is the final group D match for the Super Eagles and as such, Eguavoen is expected to rest some of his key players like Chukwueze and Moses Simon.
Based on this, I have decided to put up this article together to highlight the strongest possible Line up interim coach, Augustine Eguavoen should deploy.
You can take a look at the list below.
Goalkeeper
Maduka Okoye
, Defenders: Omeruo, Troost Ekong, Sanusi, Ola Aina
Midfielders
Wilfred Ndidi, Joe Aribo, Kelechi Iheanacho
Forwards
Ahmed Musa, Chidera Ejuke and Taiwo Awoniyi.
Why these changes should be implemented.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have already secured qualification for the round of 16 due to their 3-1 win over the Falcons of Jediane last week Saturday. The duo of Moses Simon and Chukwueze have been quite instrumental for the Super Eagles since the start of the tournament. As a result, they deserve to rest.
Moreso, these two players must be fit enough before the round of 16 clash will take place. Augustine Eguavoen cannot afford to lose them to injury, so resting them is a good idea.
The likes of Ahmed Musa and Chidera Ejuke who have not played much since the start of the tournament should be called upon to deputise for them. Both are quick and experienced, so it won’t be difficult for them to adjust into the system.
Wednesday’s encounter will not be easy for the Super Eagles given the strength of the opponents, but if they can play like the way they have done since the start of the tournament, victory will be certain.
No doubt, without Chukwueze and Moses Simon in the field, Nigeria will still defeats Guinea Bissau in today’s match.
