Report: Chelsea announce the departure of four players
Earlier this week, Chelsea officially announced that Antonio Rudiger will be leaving the club this summer, and thus, the defender has permanently left the club this summer after he played for the club last season. Before the end of the season, Real Madrid has been making moves to sign him, and according to the information released then, they have already agreed to personal terms.
However, just this week, Real Madrid officially announced that Antonio Rudiger has been signed, and thus, he will be playing in La Liga next season.
This means that Chelsea is short of a “strong” defense, and thus, the club will need to find a replacement for him before the summer transfer ends.
However, right before the end of the season, there were rumors that two other players would be leaving the club this summer, and one of the players is Chelsea’s captain, Cesar Azpilicueta. Likewise, there was a rumor that Andreas Christensen, another Chelsea defender, would be leaving the club this summer. All of these rumors turn out to be true.
Chelsea has just confirmed that four (4) players will be leaving the club this summer. This was announced on the club’s official yesterday, and the club officially revealed that the four players will be leaving the club “permanently”, and thus, they will all be joining a new club this summer.
The four players that will be leaving the club are Andreas Christensen, Danny Drinkwater, Charly Musonda, and Jake-Liam Clarke-Salter.
FfWhile both Christensen and Jake play as defenders for Chelsea, Musonda and Drinkwater play as midfielders. Musonda precisely plays as an attacking midfielder.
Although not known by some football fans, Musonda is one of the players who have spent long years playing for Chelsea. He joined Chelsea when he was 15 years of age, and spent 10 years playing for the club.
While playing for Chelsea, he played alongside some Chelsea legends including the likes of Didier Drogba, Terry, Lampard, and so many other players.
Thus, all of these players will be leaving Chelsea this summer, and they will be leaving as free agents.
