Report: Chelsea keen on agreeing deal for €35m sensational midfielder deemed to be Kante’s replacement

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing PSV midfielder Ibrahim Sangare this summer. The Blues are keen on pursuing a new defensive midfielder this summer with N’Golo Kante and Jorginho showing signs of regression.

They have been linked with Adrien Rabiot in recent weeks, but Sky Sports claim that Sangare has now emerged as the prime target.

The Ivorian had a sensational 2021/22 campaign for PSV, registering an impressive tally of 3.3 tackles and 2.9 interceptions per game.

The 24-year-old was likewise impressive in the European competitions, and he could be seen as a long-term replacement for Kante.

Sangare currently has a €35m release clause on his contract, and it is claimed that he is determined to play in the Premier League next term.
