Chelsea is gearing up for a difficult season, and Tuchel is eager to add new players to his squad. Chelsea have secured Raheem Sterling and are negotiating a deal for Nathan Ake.
Raphinha has also been a priority target for Chelsea, but his deal is questionable and he appears to be moving to Barcelona. The Blues are also competing with Bayern Munich for Mathijs De Ligt, and they appear to have turned their attention away from longtime target Jules Kounde.
Having said that, let’s take a look at the likely starting eleven for the upcoming campaign;
Eduard Mendy will keep his spot on the sticks. Nathan Ake is the most likely defender to join Chelsea, and he would be our LCB. Thiago Silva will remain in his position in order to pass on his experience and leadership skills to the younger players. There are high hopes that Chalobah will get enough game time and will play as an RCB.
Wide-area defensive line coverage will continue to be handled exclusively by Reece James and Ben Chilwel. Ngolo Kante continues to play in the middle of the field to break up plays and provide the team with the much-needed experience and balance. Conor Gallagher will be contenting for the starting spot and is likely to dislodge Jorghino and Mateo Kovacic.
The new arrival, Raheem Sterling, will feature frequently on the left wing, while Mason Mount, who had a standout performance last season, will retain his spot as an attacking right-winger. Owing to the departure of Romelu Lukaku, Kai Havertz will be the club’s number one striker and he will be leading the attacking line in the new campaign.
