Abramovich has chosen to sell Chelsea as quickly as possible as a result of Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine and impending sanctions.
The Russian billionaire is thought to be seeking more than £3 billion for the West London business, a figure that may not be met given the current conditions.
Nonetheless, according to PA, Chelsea has already sparked a lot of interest, and further bids are expected in the coming future.
While Abramovich is expected to prefer a rapid sale, it is said that all proposals will be evaluated later after it is determined who parties wish to pursue any initial interest.

As things stand, Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss and American investor Todd Boehly appear to be in the lead, possibly as part of a consortium.
The 55-year-old Russian magnate announced that he will not seek repayment for any of the £1.5 billion in loans he made to the club over his 19-year reign, and that any remaining funds will be donated to a humanitarian organization “for the benefit of all victims of the war in Ukraine.”
