Thomas Tuchel has had his say on whether or not he feels his Chelsea team still has a chance of winning the English premier league title this campaign.
Recall that Chelsea initially started the current season on an impressive note, as they were top of the league table for a couple of weeks.
However, injuries suffered by key players in the team, and also a drastic deep in form by the blues, saw them relinquish their top spot to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City who themselves are 16 points above Chelsea after 25 games.
Tuchel during an interview however revealed that at the moment, Chelsea are more focused on securing a top four spot rather than competing with City for the league title.
When asked about their chances, he said in his words, “Right now the focus has to be realistic, we are in a race for the top four”.
The blues are currently in 3rd place on 47 points, and teams such as Man United, West Ham, Arsenal and Spurs are currently breathing down their neck, meaning that all hands will need to be on deck for Chelsea to secure a top four finish come end of the season.
Can Chelsea still win the league, or they should focus on the top four race just as Tuchel said?
