Transfer News: Chelsea announces official deal
Reanna Blades, a winger for Chelsea Women, signed a contract that will keep her with the team through the summer of 2024 with an additional year of extension available.
Before moving up to Brighton for a season at RTC level, the 18-year-old participated in our Foundation Development Center Program. The next season, Reanna joined Chelsea Academy’s Under-14 team, where she has since excelled admirably. In a preseason friendly against Arsenal the previous year, she played for the Blues, and she later scored in the same London derby at the Emirates Stadium.
The young Lioness has also competed for England in all youth age divisions, obtaining her first call-up to play for England’s Under-16s. The Under-19s team currently includes her.
Reacting to her new deal with Chelsea, Blades said:
‘It’s a dream come true to sign my first professional contract at this club. I am honoured to continue my journey at Chelsea and exited for the future.
