Why Chelsea should work hard to win FA Cup after failed to lift Carabao Cup
Chelsea football club suffered a narrow Carabao Cup final defeat against Liverpool on Sunday night, with Kepa Arrizabalaga missing the only penalty on the night to hand Liverpool the victory after two hours of an intense football match between the two Premier League giants.
The defeat means that Chelsea continues their search for a domestic title in 4 years, having won their last English title in the 2018 FA Cup against Manchester United.
Since winning the FA Cup in 2018, Chelsea has now reached 4 Cup finals in four the last seasons( Carabao Cup 2019 and 2022, and FA Cup 2020 and 2021) without winning anyone, with all their previous trophy wins coming at the European level.

And having missed the chance to end their domestic trophy drought in the Carabao Cup final, Chelsea will now turn their attention to the FA Cup when they visit Luton on Wednesday.
And given they have failed to win a domestic title in the past 4 years, this season’s FA Cup gives them their only remaining chance to end that poor domestic run, and they will have to do everything to make sure they progress to the final and win it after losing the Carabao Cup to Liverpool.
